*Federal Poly Damaturu Management Holds Valedictory Session for Two Retiring Members* The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu held a valedictory session on Thursday to honour two retiring senior staff members who have reached the mandatory retirement age of 65. The retirees are: 1.  Engr. Bukar Hassan, Director of Procurement and Physical Planning. 2.  Abubakar Lamba, Head of Medical Services. Presided over by the Rector, Dr. Ibrahim Bello Bashir, at the Council Chamber of the institution, the session featured tributes to both departing officers.  Dr. Bashir commended the retirees for their dedicated service and significant contributions to the Polytechnic's development.  He specifically praised Engr. Fed Poly Damaturu set to establish a mini grid  solar plant  The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu is set to establish a mini grid solar plant, the  development was made known  by the  Rector of the institution Dr. Ibrahim Bello Bashir  during the recent Matriculation Ceremony for its Higher National Diploma 1( HND )and National Diploma 1 (ND)students for the 2024/2025 academic session.  The Rector emphasized that this initiative aims to augment  the electricity supply throughout the Polytechnic. He also noted that the proposal is in its advanced stages, indicating a commitment to sustainable energy solutions on campus.
