FEDPOLY DAMATURU GOVERNING COUNCIL 
 HOLDS INAUGURAL MEETING

The Governing Council Federal Polytechnic Damaturu had it inaugural meeting on Monday.
The meeting was attended by external  and internal members.

 The extenal members  are the appointee of the Federal Government,while the internal members were selected to represent from various groups.

Earler while inaugurating   the council, the Chairman RT. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi solicit for their corporation and support for the council to succeed

He also call on them to open to the council' what we want to Know so as to know where the stumbling block is established'.

He said hands must be on deck so as to work together for the betterment of the system.

The council which is seventh in the series has other  members :

Professor Akinnanwo Ebenezer from Ondo state

Mrs. Chidera Ada from Imo state

Hon. Shuaib Zirami
From Bauchi state

Alh. Abdullahi Hamza
From Yobe state.

Mrs Kaltimi Muazu
Representative of Federal Minstry of Education

In a related development after the inauguration the council had an interactive session with management, in which the Chairman charged
them to join hand with the council and side aside any difference and work for the institutio

Hon.Ibrahim therefore urged to extend to them the  support they accoded  to the last council.

The council undertakes familiarisation visit to the Departments and unit.

During the visit the chairman disclosed that the visit is aimed  seen and assesed  what are ground for them to assist.

He therefore called on the management to improve on sanitation and for staff and students to imbibe culture of keeping the environment clean.

Fedpoly Damaturu Rector, appoints Director Legal services  The Rector Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Dr.Ibrahim Bello Bashir  has approved the appointment of the Director Legal Services for the Polytechnic. He is Barrister Sa'idu Mohammed Also, a Chief  lecturer in the Department of General Studies. He studied law at the University of Maiduguri and University of Jos and serves  the institution in many  legal issues. The appointment was made known via letter signed by the Deputy Registrar Staff Development and Training  Aisha Muhammad Yerima on behalf of the Registrar, which states that the appointment is for a period of three years. The letter further  urges the appointee to justify the  confidence Rector's repose in him and bring his expertise for the development of the Polytechnic.
