FEDPOLY DAMATURU TO CONSTRUCT PATHOLOGY LABORATORY

The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has approved the construction of a pathology  laboratory at the Polytechnic clinic. 

This was made known by Engr. Shetttima Umara Ali the Acting Rector of the insitution, while making a remark at the end of a Sensitisation workshop on  Formal Sector Heath Insurance Programme and Tertiary Educational Institutions Health Insurance Programme ( TINSHIP) at the Polytechnic recently.

He disclosed that the construction of the Laboratory is aimed at upgrading the clinic to a secondry Healthcare facility.

Dr. Shetttima assures that the Polytechnic will ensure frequent supplies of  drugs with the view  of avoiding out of store syndrome at the clinic.

The workshop was organised by the NHIA to acquent members of the Management staff and other stakeholders on the new programme in addition to the one being enjoyed by the Federal government employees that have enrolled. 

In his presentation at the workshop, Dr.Salisu Hasan who is the Head of Public Enlightenment Unit of NHIA in Yobe  state 
 asserts that the programme is to cover  both the  staff and students of the insitution, in which subscription is to be made  on annual basis.

The workshop was attended by the Acting Rector, Management staff, staff of the clinic among others. 

Highlight of the occasion was  the presention of the Programme document to the Acting Rector Engr. Shetttima Umara Ali.
