FEDPOLY DAMATURU GOVERNING COUNCIL APPOINTS NEW AG.RECTOR

The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Governing Council has appointed Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua  as the new Acting Rector of the institution. This was made known
in a letter dated 30th July, 2024 and signed by the Chairman of the Governing council RT. Hon.Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi after the council's inaugural meeting recently, which  indicates that the appointment is for the period of six Months with effect From 9th, August 2024. 

The chairman  charged him to justify the confidence reposed in him while discharging his duty aimed at moving the Polytechnic forward.

Meanwhile, Dr. Babale has taken over the mantle of the leadership of the institution on Friday, where he  solicits for support and cooperation of members of the  Management in particular and the Polytechnic community in general.

 He also indicate his readiness to work with the Union with the  view of ensuring  industrial harmony  in the institution.

Earlier, while handing over  to the new Acting Rector, the outgoing Acting Rector Engr. Shettima Umara Ali urged the new Acting Rector to use the hand over document as a giude where it cover what he has achieved and ongoing in the areas of staff welfare, security, solar installations, accreditation, renovations, constructions  among others.
 
The brief handing over ceremony which took place at the Polytechnic council Chamber was attended by the Registrar, members of the Management, Union leaders among others.

Fed Poly Damaturu Governing Council appoints Acting Bursar  The Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has approved the appointment of Ismail Muhammad as the Acting  Bursar of the Polytechnic. The approval  of the council was contained in a letter signed by the Registrar Muazu Aliyu Iliyasu, after their  Regular  meeting  held early this week, in which it states that he is to act as Bursar of the Polytechnic pending the appointment of a substantive Bursar. New Rector Fedpoly Damaturu takes over The new Rector,  Federal Polytechnic Damaturu,  Dr. Ibrahim Bashir Bello has  taken over the helm of affairs of  the Polytechnic from the Acting Rector Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua today at the Polytechnic Council chamber. Earlier while handing over to the new Rector,  the Acting Rector Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua assures  him of  support  for him to succeed, according to him if the Rector succeed  it is the Polytechnic that succeed. He therefore, called on  the Governing Council, Management and rest of the staff to extend  the support and cooperation they accorded him to the new Rector.
