Fed Poly Damaturu appoints Director Affiliation, External collaboration and linkages The Acting Rector Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua has approved the appointment of Dr. Akinsola Reaben Omotayo as Director Affiliatoi, External Collaboration and linkages. In a letter signed and issued by the Registrar Muazu Aliyu Iliyasu indicates that the appointment takes immediate effect and is for a period of three years. Dr. Akinsola, was the immediate passed Deputy Rector Academic Services of the Polytechnic. He was at various time Head, Department of Science Laboratory Technology, Dean School of Science and Technology among others.

Fed Poly Damaturu effects changes in the HND admission proceedure. The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, has effected changes in it admission procedure for the Higher National Diploma ( HND). In the new procedure released and signed by the Registrar of the institution Muazu Aliyu Iliyasu indicates that, candidates can now use the Polytechnic website @ https:// briateksms.com/fedpodam. to apply instead of the earlier one @ https://hnd.nbte.gov.ng. In addition, all candidates applying for the Programme must have completed the one year mandatory Industrial Training for those with lower credit grade or above and two year for those with pass grade following the successful completion of their National Diploma (ND) relevant to the course of choice. Students of the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu have concluded their examinations for 2023/2024 academic session. This signifies the end of the session as the examinations ends. Meanwhile, the Polytechnic has since opened it portal for the 2024/2025 admissions into National Diploma(ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND). According to application procedure released by the Registry Department, signed by the Registrar Muazu Aliyu Iliyasu indicates that the ND and HND programmes are in Science and Technology , Engineering Technology, Environmental and Management studies. However National Diploma (ND) is for those who scored 100 marks and above in 2024 UTME and have the minimum of 5 credits in NECO, WAEC, NABTEB relevant to the course of choice at not more than 2 sittings.
