Fed Poly Damaturu set to establish Mini grid solar plant



The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu is set to establish a mini grid 
solar plant, the  development was made known  by the  Rector of the institution Dr. Ibrahim Bello Bashir  during the recent Matriculation Ceremony for its Higher National Diploma 1 and National Diploma 1 students for the 2024/2025 academic session. 

The Rector emphasized that this initiative aims to augment  the electricity supply throughout the Polytechnic, addressing the ongoing challenges related to power availability. 

He also noted that the proposal is in its advanced stages, indicating a commitment to sustainable energy solutions on campus. This initiative is expected to support the institution's operations and contribute to a more reliable learning environment for students.

Fed Poly Damaturu Governing Council appoints Acting Bursar  The Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has approved the appointment of Ismail Muhammad as the Acting  Bursar of the Polytechnic. The approval  of the council was contained in a letter signed by the Registrar Muazu Aliyu Iliyasu, after their  Regular  meeting  held early this week, in which it states that he is to act as Bursar of the Polytechnic pending the appointment of a substantive Bursar. Until his appointment, he was the one over seeing the Department since the expiration of the tenure of the Former Bursar. New Rector Fed Polytechnic Damaturu takes over

New Rector Fedpoly Damaturu takes over The new Rector,  Federal Polytechnic Damaturu,  Dr. Ibrahim Bashir Bello has  taken over the helm of affairs of  the Polytechnic from the Acting Rector Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua today at the Polytechnic Council chamber. Earlier while handing over to the new Rector,  the Acting Rector Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua assures  him of  support  for him to succeed, according to him if the Rector succeed  it is the Polytechnic that succeed. He therefore, called on  the Governing Council, Management and rest of the staff to extend  the support and cooperation they accorded him to the new Rector.
