Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Closes for End-of-Year Break

The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has announced the closure of the institution for its end-of-year break.

The decision follows an approval granted by the Rector, Dr. Ibrahim Bello Bashir, as conveyed in a letter signed by the Deputy Registrar (Establishment), Sa’idu Umar Katuzu. According to the statement, the break will commence on 19th December and end on 4th January 2026.

However, members of staff on essential duties are to remain at their duty posts throughout the break.

The Rector expressed appreciation to staff for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. On behalf of the management, he wished all staff a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Fedpoly Damaturu Rector, appoints Director Legal services  The Rector Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Dr.Ibrahim Bello Bashir  has approved the appointment of the Director Legal Services for the Polytechnic. He is Barrister Sa'idu Mohammed Also, a Chief  lecturer in the Department of General Studies. He studied law at the University of Maiduguri and University of Jos and serves  the institution in many  legal issues. The appointment was made known via letter signed by the Deputy Registrar Staff Development and Training  Aisha Muhammad Yerima on behalf of the Registrar, which states that the appointment is for a period of three years. The letter further  urges the appointee to justify the  confidence Rector's repose in him and bring his expertise for the development of the Polytechnic.
