Federal Polytechnic Damaturu

The Acting Rector Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua is to open the  fifth  Multidisciplinary  Conference of  the School of Environmental Studies on Monday.   According to the conference schedule released by the Chairman Local Organizing Committee ( LOC), Surv. Ishaqu Janga ,  the Vice Chancellor Yobe State University  Damaturu, Professor  Mohammed Malah  Daura is to present a key note address, while Dr. Yahaya Kawu Usman  and Arc. Abdulwahab  Edutaiye are to present the lead papers. The conference is to last for three days and is to  hold at the Polytechnic new Lecture theatre.

TENURE OF BURSAR, FEDPOLY DAMATURU ENDS The Bursar, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Muhammad Muhammad Barau has ended his tenure today. This is following the expiration of the  statutory five year single term for principle officers of the Polytechnic as enshrined in the Polytechnic act (2019). He hands over to Ismail Muhammad a Chief Accountant, appointed by the Acting Rector, Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua to oversee the  Bursary Department pending the appointment of an Acting Bursar by the Governing Council of the Polytechnic. Earlier while handing  over, the  outgoing Bursar urged him to ensure harmonious working relationship with his colleagues for him achieved. In his brief remark, after the handing and   taking over,  the  new overseer of the Bursary, called for support and co-operation from colleagues with the view of uplifting  the institution. Fed Polytechnic Damaturu gets Acting Director Audit The Acting Rector Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua has approved the appointment of Yunusa Adamu Abdullahi as the Acting Director Audit of the institution. In a letter issued and signed by the Deputy Registrar  (Council and General Administration) Saidu  Umar Katuzu it stated that, the appointment is  in compliance with the directives of the office of the Accountant General of the Federation to have the Director in the Audit, being  one of the key players in the administration of the Government finances through the Government Integrated Finance Management Information System( GIFMIS) platform. Until his appointment, he was the Polytechnic Chief Internal Auditor.
